Electronic & Information Technology Procurements: The California State University is committed to making its programs,
services and activities accessible to all who visit or attend campus-sponsored events. In pursuing this goal, campuses are working
to meet the Federal Section 508 standards for accessibility for electronic and information technology products.
Basically, this means that any electronic item that transmits, reproduces, or displays data or other information will be reviewed for compliance
and compared with comparable products to ensure that the University acquires the most accessible product that meets functional requirements.
Implementation is phased. Target dates for implementation are as follows (dollar amounts are per procurement or project, not per
unit or per requisition):
- September 2007: $50,000 and above
- September 2008: $15,000 and above
- June 2010: $2,500 and above (may include pro-card purchases)
